Sales Policy

These are the policies we use to make sure every transaction at the Dusty Bear Farm is satisfactory to all parties involved. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions before, during or after a sale.

Deposit
A non-refundable $50 deposit will reserve your kid. Please email me first to check availability.

Shipping
All shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility. El Paso is our closest airport. We will try to help by driving part way if you are picking up in your own vehicle.

Discounts
We give $50 discounts to anyone who is on year-long milk test and promises to test our doe. We’ll give $25 refunds to anyone who puts a star on a doe, payable with a notice of pending star.

Shipping Age
All kids must be two months old and weaned to ship via air or transport. If you pick up your own animal, you can have it sooner.

Shipping Prep
All kids will be disbudded, have all their shots and a microchip. They’ll get probias and vitamins and be well hydrated before they travel.

CAE
We will not sell an infected animal. No infected animals other than Dusty will live here and he is quarantined. For your peace of mind: If you ever buy a kid from me that tests positive for CAE within 60 days of sale, I'll refund all moneys including shipping and take the kid back or pay for its destruction. If you prefer, I will keep a kid for you until it is six months old and test it then. I will happily discuss this policy with anyone prior to a sale.

In the unlikely event you receive a CAE animal from me, I will require: an original test sheet from your vet and all registration papers. I will also require the return of the kid or proof of destruction by a licensed veterinarian. I will not refund money for kids destroyed on the farm, or for kids given or sold to another individual. PLEASE NOTE: The kid must be alive when tested and must be tested by a vet who verifies the ear tattoos, microchip and description with the registration papers. All our animals, other than Dusty, are CAE free. All animals are TB and Bangs free. Please read the CAE page for more information on the disease and its risks.
